Successful people are goal orientated; they create goals all the time.
Successful people are long term thinkers always looking to the future; they do not dwell on past successes or failures.
Successful people always make course corrections to get back on track in achieving their goals.
Unsuccessful people are not goal orientated. They are easily distracted.
If you’re not focussed on your goals- you have nothing grounding you to the tasks required to become successful.
Daily goals- this should be complied each day as a to do list.
Monthly goals- List your monthly goals at the start of each month, break down each goal into steps and what is required to achieve them.
Yearly goals- Having yearly goals will keep you direction bound – if you don’t have direction; you don’t know where you’re going.
Goals are my roadmap to success.
Goals force accountability.
Successful people set goals and create a plan to reach them.
Goal setting works; it helps you develop motivation and forces you to focus time and energy.
S.M.A.R.T Goals
-Specific
-Measureable
-Achievable
-Realistic
-Time targeted
1. Make sure the goal you’re working towards doesn’t just sound good…. It has to be something you really want.
2. A goal can’t contradict another goal….you can’t buy a 300k Ferrari if your goal is 100k.
3. Make sure your goal is high enough.
4. Write down your goals where you can view them frequently.
5. Reviewing goals every day is integral to your success.

Imagine that you had won the following prize in a contest:

Each morning your bank would deposit $86,400.00 in your private account for your use.
However, this prize has rules, just as any game has certain rules.

The first set of rules would be:

Everything that you didn’t spend during each day would be taken away from you.
You may not simply transfer money into some other account.
You may only spend it.
Each morning upon awakening, the bank opens your account with another $86,400.00 for that day.

The second set of rules:

The bank can end the game without warning; at any time it can say,
Its over, the game is over! It can close the account and you will not receive a new one.

What would you personally do?

You would buy anything and everything you wanted right?
Not only for yourself, but for all people you love, right?
Even for people you don’t know, because you couldn’t possibly spend it all on yourself, right?

You would try to spend every cent, and use it all, right?

ACTUALLY this GAME is REALITY!

Each of us is in possession of such a magical bank.
We just can’t seem to see it.

The MAGICAL BANK is TIME!

Each morning we awaken to receive 86,400 seconds as a gift of life, and when we go to sleep at night, any remaining time is NOT credited to us. What we haven’t lived up that day is forever lost. Yesterday is forever gone.
Each morning the account is refilled, but the bank can dissolve your account at any time….WITHOUT WARNING. So, what will YOU do with your 86,400 seconds?
Those seconds are worth so much more than the same amount in dollars.

Think about it, and always think of this:

Enjoy every second of your life, because time races by so much quicker than you think.

So take care of yourself, be Happy, Love deeply and Enjoy life!

Here’s wishing you a wonderful day.

Start spending!!!

Cheers Corina

This week, I had to ask myself this question…Am I Procrastinating??? Is there something holding me back….and what I discovered was amazing….do this for yourself and see what comes of it for you, and what ‘light bulb moments’ you have.

PROCRASTINATION
‘Is putting off or delaying, something requiring immediate attention.’
Its FEAR and RESISTANCE..
It’s either YES or NO…..Maybes are dream Killers.
Stop saying maybe.
Stop saying I’ll do that on Wednesday.
You need to make a decision to be in action.
When you say yes you have opened the door!!!
Just show up and DO IT!!
Once you say YES, your committed…Visualise…when and where and DO IT!!!!
Achieve your target…. change you goal to a target and HIT IT!!!!
Ask yourself are you 100% committed to your business???
Have you done what it takes to be 100% committed???
Have you given yourself the best opportunity mentally, personally and financially to succeed???
If not…why not????
They are just excuses…..If you have not done everything you can to succeed; you are Procrastinating, creating speed bumps to set yourself up for failure.

So I ask you again…are you doing everything you can to succeed, or are you procrastinating???

I was recently asked how make difference in the world on a daily basis??? Wow that’s a massive question, was my answer supposed to be something like, Trying to achieve world peace, to save the Elephants in Africa or feed all the starving children in the world…….After all surely to make a ‘difference in the WORLD’, I would have to be doing something big.
I believe to truly make a difference in the world whether it is miniscule or mammoth; you have to start with yourself first!!!!! You are doing the world a disservice if you worry about trying to help and fix and solve everyone else’s issues, if you are not in a great place yourself. A lot of people seek refuge in trying to help others and solve others problems, so that they can mask their own.

We should all look inside ourselves, be in a happy and content state, and be Grateful for what we have.
I think we need to go back to simple and small things first, and then all of the big things will happen by themselves!!! Smile ….lots, it makes you feel good and has the impact to turn someone’s day around. Walk down the street and say ‘hi, how are you?’ (No one does this anymore). It’s almost as though we need to go back to what our parents taught us…Manners….always saying, Please and Thank you, Hello and Goodbye…..

That’s how I think we will truly make a difference…

Cheers Corina

A carrot, an egg, and a cup of coffee…You will never look at a cup of
coffee the same way again.

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how
Things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make
it
and
wanted to give up, She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed
as
one
problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and
placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she
placed
carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed
Ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the
carrots
out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them
in a
bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to
her
daughter, she asked, ‘ Tell me what you see.’

‘Carrots, eggs, and coffee,’ she replied.

Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and
noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take
an
egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg.

Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter
smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, ‘What does it mean, mother?’

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same
adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in
strong, hard,
and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it
softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell
had
protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling
water, its
inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however.
After
they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.

‘Which are you?’ she asked her daughter. ‘When adversity knocks on your
door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain
and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the
heat?
Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial
hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look
the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water,
the
very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it
releases
the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at
thier
worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour
is
the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate yourself to
another
level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee
bean?

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you
strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy.

The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything;
they
just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The
brightest
future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can’t go forward in
life
until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.

Live your life so at the end, you’re the one who is smiling and everyone
around you is crying.
To those who make you smile when you really need it; to those who make you
see
the brighter side of things when you are really down; to those whose
friendship you appreciate; to those who are so meaningful in your life.

May we all be COFFEE!!!!!!!

I received this from a friend today….

The dictionary states Gratitude is ‘the quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful.’

Every day I am grateful for many things. Quite often these would seem small and insignificant to others, except me.
Being grateful is a powerful process, be grateful for what you have and more will come into your life.

If I think I’m having the day from hell, I stop myself from saying ‘today is going to be a nightmare’, and I turn it around. I think of something to be grateful for, it could be as small as, the great cup of coffee I had this morning, or kissing my children goodbye as l dropped them at school. This small act of gratitude has the ability to change my way of thinking… After all if l keep saying ’today’s going to be a day from hell’, chances are it will be.

So if you’ve never tried a bit of Gratitude….give it a go, it truly is amazing how such a simple step, can have such mammoth impact on our lives.

At the end of every day I write down 5 things I am grateful for, this shows me what a great day I really had, and makes me appreciate everything and take nothing for granted. Writing it down makes it clearer for me…it takes just a minute.

What are you grateful for today??

WORK/LIFE BALANCE……DOES IT EXIST?????

According to the dictionary the definition of Work/Life Balance is, ‘the achievement of equality between time spent working and one’s personal life’.

Wow, equality between home and work life???? Equality is such a nice ‘zen’ word but when it’s teamed up in the same sentence as work, it suddenly doesn’t seem as nice.

Let’s look at the numbers based on an average working week of 40hours. You spend 8 hours a day at work, 2 hours travelling per day, half an hour getting ready for work, half an hour unwinding from work and 8 hour sleeping (wishful thinking, after all were all too busy for that). So that’s 19 hours out of your 24 hour day …GONE….. That leaves 5 hours a day to work on your home/personal life.

After cleaning the house, cooking meals, homework with children, shopping, walking the dog and trying to spend quality time with loved ones……that doesn’t leave much time for you.

I suppose your saying, ‘Thank God for the weekends!’

I agree, Friday nights you get to relax and don’t have to worry about getting up to go to work the next day, but you usually spend half of that day, either gardening, mowing lawns, taking children to sports or if you’re lucky enough, sleeping in. And Sunday is a day of relaxing, as we all tell ourselves, ‘I’m just going to relax today, as I’m back at work tomorrow.’ Why do we tell ourselves this? Do we actually think that by some sort of a miracle we will forget Its Sunday, and not remember to go to work in the morning….Wishful thinking!!!

So the whole Work/Life Balance thing, doesn’t really exist…..

OR DOES IT????

I have found it!!!!

I can actually say I have a great work/life balance. Who actually says that we have to work 40 hours a week??? We all need to make money to have a life….But at what price???? I was sick of never having time, always being too busy and having no time for myself. I was always yelling at my children, ‘hurry up!’ Or ‘Quick, Mummy’s going to be late for work!’ and the all time classics, ‘I don’t have time for that’ and ‘I’m too tired.’ Those 4 phrases ruled my life…

Something had to change.

I took a leap of faith, and decided to work for myself, from home. I was doing a great job working for someone else, so I decided to do a great job working for MYSELF. I no longer had to rush in the morning, yelling the kid’s orders to get them out the door and off to school, so I could also get to work on time. I no longer missed parent day at school, and after school sports. The children could have friends over to play after school. I didn’t spend my evenings and weekends doing chores and shopping. I could now work this into my schedule, around my work, my family and my life.

It has been the greatest thing I ever did. It does take discipline, I have a morning conference call every morning before I take the kids to school, but I now schedule my work around my family, not the other way around. I know what has to be done and I get it done, some days I work less, some days more. I now work a hell of a lot less, for a hell of a lot more. I’m happy, my family is happy….and I love Life.

If you want to find a work/life balance, take a risk, get out of your comfort zone, you can do it….you know you can.

I can show you how.
